The eleventh annual SteelStacks High School Jazz Band Showcase will feature 21 bands and be held over five events in February and March at the Musikfest Café.

Tickets for the preliminary rounds are $7 plus fees and are on sale at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378. The showcase is presented by the law firm of King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul.

Scholastic jazz groups from Pennsylvania and New Jersey will perform in front of a live audience and a judging panel comprised of music educators. Preliminaries are set for 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 12th and 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 26th. Finals will be held on Sunday, March 19th at 4:00pm.

The competition is a music-in-education program of ArtsQuest and the Moravian University Music Department’s Jazz Studies Program.
