Sample game & fish-inspired hors d’oeuvres and finely crafted spirits from Eight Oaks Craft Distillers

Pulled Duck Tacos, Wild Boar Bacon, Alligator Fritters and Ostrich Sliders, plus the opportunity to sample the finely crafted spirits of the New Tripoli-based Eight Oaks Craft Distillers, highlight the 3rd “Taste of the Wild” culinary event.

At Taste of the Wild, attendees enjoy a variety of game and fish inspired hors d’oeuvres crafted especially for the event by the ArtsQuest Center culinary team, while getting up close and personal with birds of prey like an owl or hawk, reptiles and mammals from the Emmaus-based Wildlands Conservancy. Wildlands Conservancy educational staff will also be on hand to share information on the animals, their habitat and conservation success stories.

New this year, Eight Oaks will be on hand, offering participants the chance to sample their small batch spirits like Applejack and Whiskey. Plus, attendees will have an opportunity to shop for finely crafted, nature-inspired artwork and jewelry at the Step Outdoors artisan show, presented by Ah-Ha! Arts Management.

The Taste of the Wild menu includes:
Chili Spiced Bison Carpaccio, Refried Black Beans, Southwest Kale Caesar
Ostrich Sliders, Sour Cherry Aioli, Baby Arugula, Feta Cheese, Potato Bun
Alligator Fritter, Creole Mustard Yuengling Beer Dip
Wild Boar Bacon, Sweet and Spicy Glazed
