Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem Trip Guide

Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem takes place in four large, heated tents on PNC Plaza at SteelStacks.

Free parking is available on campus and handicap parking is available as well. All parking on campus is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you’re looking for an adventure and you’re up for a short walk, check out the city’s new parking garage on New St, in between 3rd and 4th – from there you can explore the SouthSide Arts District on your way to SteelStacks (just head towards the old Bethlehem Steel blast furnaces).

Shopping at Christkindlmarkt

Make sure you visit all four tents at Christkindlmarkt! A list of participating merchants is available here, but a list doesn’t do them justice. Make sure you give yourself enough time to stop by all the booths!

We’ve also got some delicious eats and drinks available to keep you fueled and ready to shop!

And, to make it even easier for you to explore the entire festival, you can drop off your packages at our Package Check – think of it like a coat check, but for your bags… so you don’t have to carry them around with you all day!

New this year – stop by the United States Postal Service giant blue mail box, where you can flat-rate ship gifts right at Christkindlmarkt!

Indoor restrooms are available in the Visitor Center at SteelStacks presented by St. Luke’s University Health Network, as well as at the ArtsQuest Center, First Street and Founders Way.

Ice Sculpting Demonstrations

Ever wish you could recreate that epic scene where Edward Scissorhands makes snow fall over the city for Kim to see down below? If so, you can’t miss Sculpted Ice Works in the Christkindlmarkt Courtyard, where artists turn blocks of ice into beautiful sculptures using chainsaws, picks and blowtorches, causing tiny flecks of snow to dance through the air.
