The pandemic era online game show sensation, “The Dollar Store Movie Game Show”, is going live in front of a studio audience for the first time ever at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Hosted by Frank Vignola (Comedy Central, Amazon Prime, SiriusXM) and featuring celebrity contestants Evie Aronson (TruTV, USA Network), Dave Matters (Good Karma Comedy Festival), Gary Sharp (Punch Line Philly) and Addy Young (Musikfest).

A note from the show’s creator Frank Vignola:
“The Dollar Store Movie Game Show” is a game show with a wink and a nod to the game shows of the 70s like “Match Game 73”. It features four celebrity contestants and is hosted by me, Frank Vignola. The show itself consists of two rounds of trivia questions, with a riddle at the end as a 3rd round, and the winner gets a movie I purchased from the Dollar Store. Just silly, nerdy, goofy fun. Like lots of other Zoom shows this show was born of necessity during the pandemic but I’ve continued to do it even as the Pandemic eased and other online shows faded away because I’ve always thought a live version would just be a hoot. And also in a live version our comic celebs could play FOR audience members allowing them to win and take home these Rotten Tomatoes gems!
This show will contain adult language and/or situations. Seating will be assigned by ArtsQuest staff upon arrival into the showroom. Anyone coming in between the ages of 13 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No child 12 or under will be admitted. FRANK VIGNOLA
Besides appearances on Comedy Central, Amazon Prime and SiriusXM, Mr. Vignola has also performed at Montreal’s prestigious “Just for Laughs” Comedy Festival and toured the Middle East with Armed Forces Entertainment. Frank’s acting credits include the film roles of “Eddie” in “Tilting at Windmills” (International Film Festival Manhattan), “Mr. Leibowitz” in “Game Night” (Amazon Prime) and voicing the character of “Dr. Robert” in the animated television pilot “Ben v World”. Frank is also a corporate event favorite (Gotham Comedy Foundation, Statement Arts, Team Building Unlimited LLC, Bristol Meyers Squibb, Girl Scouts of the USA) and has shared stages with Gilbert Gottfried, Robert Klein, Bill Maher, Howie Mandel, Mark Maron, Colin Quinn, Joan Rivers, Chris Rock, Sarah Silverman and Robin Williams just to name a few. All of which means he brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to the table. His humor is clean, the laughs are fast paced and everyone gets to personally participate in the fun as ‘non-insult based’ crowd work is one of his specialties.
Evie Aronson
Evie Aronson earned a BFA in Musical Theater from Syracuse University. She has appeared on TruTV and USA Network’s “Up all Night with Gilbert Gottfried”. Evie was a “Save World Sanity” Award winner (Comedy Central), a Bud Light “Ladies of Laughter” finalist and placed second in La Mega 97.9FM radio’s stand-up comedy competition. And as a background actor she worked on “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”, “School of Rock”, “Anger Management” and 2 HBOFilms projects. Evie also volunteers with Cherub Improv and teaches seated Zumba at Red Door Community (formerly Gilda’s Club), the Brooklyn Public Library, Visions (a center for the blind in New York City) and at Lehman College (Aqua Zumba). And her favorite project is a parody of “Apocalypse Now ” called “A Pucker Lips Now”, available on YouTube.
Dave Matters
Dave Matters is a stand-up comedian raised in Brooklyn. He has performs throughout the tri-state area, including Manhattan, where he has appeared at Stand Up New York, Comic Strip Live, the Comedy Cellar, Greenwich Village Comedy Club and Broadway Comedy Club. He is excited to be participating in this first live performance of The Dollar Store Movie Game Show after being a contestant on many Zoom episodes of the show during the pandemic lock-down.
Gary Sharp
Gary Sharp is a Philly based stand-up comedian. He enjoys sharing his unique perspective on family, social issues, and relationships both romantic and platonic. Gary has quickly risen through the ranks and become one of the most sought after acts in the area. He placed 3rd in the 2021 Philly’s Phunniest Stand Up competition at the renowned Helium Comedy Club.
