This winter, discover a world of artistic wonder with HBMS’ amazing collection of rarely displayed sketches by historic artists. On exhibit across two historic sites, see how a single stroke of a pencil transforms into a stunning composition. View sketchbooks alongside finished pieces from historic artists Gustav Grunewald, Mae Erdman, Joseph and Margaret Cantieni, Emil Gelhaar and J. Carroll Tobias. Submerse yourself in art through live demonstrations, workshops, still life drawing sessions and interactive displays. Make your first mark by adding to our community sketchbook or chalkboard wall! Kids will have a blast at activity stations where they can learn about and practice various drawing techniques. There’s something for every artist or art lover at Sketched Out!
