Learn the old Moravian craft of making paste paper. Women in the Single Sisters’ Houses in Moravian communities in America and Europa were known for their beautiful decorative paste papers. Moravian paper (“Herrnhuter Papier”) was used for book binding, decorating boxes, and as covers for note books. Now you can learn this craft in a two-day workshop offered by the Moravian Archives.

The workshop will last two days and will take place at College Hill Moravian Church and the Moravian Archives. On day 1 you will make the papers that can then dry overnight. On day 2 you will use the papers to make a simple pamphlet or an origami design. No previous experience is required. The workshop is for adults only

• all materials will be provided
