You know what’s great? Ice skating at our new Ice Rink at SteelStacks, presented by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. You know what’s even better? Coming out to one of our Theme Nights. On select days and times, we’ll have all sorts of fun, ranging from giveaways to our upcoming events to meeting up with your favorite characters.

Elf Night
“I thought maybe we could make gingerbread houses, and eat cookie dough, and go ice skating, and – maybe even hold hands.” – Buddy The Elf
Our first Theme Night will be Elf Night, sponsored by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. Join us on Wednesday November 30 at 6:30 and 8:30pm. It sounds like the best way to spread Christmas cheer to us! We’ll be playing Elf while you skate, and be sure to participate in our trivia contest.
Pride Night
We will be partnering with the Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center to present our Pride Night on Thursday December 1 at 6:30 and 8:30pm. Former Miss Gay Pennsylvania Elektra Fearce St. James will be hosting both skating sessions. She’ll be giving away ArtsQuest tickets to whomever she feels like giving ’em to, maybe even including our upcoming A Golden Girls Drag Christmas Show. It’ll be a fabulous time!
Superhero Skate
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s Superhero Skate, sponsored by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital!
On Sunday December 4 at 10:30am and 12:30pm, we’ll be joined by Captain America and Wonder Woman for a special skate day. Be sure to take a picture with your favorite superhero at this super event!

Star Wars Skate
May the force be with you on Tuesday December 6 at 6:30 and 8:30pm! Join us in a galaxy far, far away for some trivia, impressions, and giveaways to ArtsQuest events. Who knows… maybe some troopers will be skating amongst us.
Disco & Soul Train Night
It’ll be Studio 54 on ice on Wednesday December 7 at 6:30 and 8:30pm! Dust off the go-go boots, and DJ Jamal Knight will be spinning all of the funkiest tunes at both skating sessions. Dressing up is highly encouraged, as we’ll be giving away tickets to upcoming ArtsQuest shows to the grooviest guys and gals.
Emo Night
I chimed in with a “Haven’t you people ever heard of…. going to emo skate at SteelStacks?!”
Get your black eyeliner ready for Emo Night on Thursday December 8 at 6:30 and 8:30pm. We’ll be blasting all of our emo favorites to prove to Mom that it’s not a phase.
Skate with St. Nick
Have you been nice… or have you been naughty? Either way, St. Nick will be joining us on Sunday December 11 at 10:30am and 12:30pm. Sponsored by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, it’ll be a jolly good time for all ages!
Mascot Skate
On Sunday December 11 at 2:30 and 4:30pm, come hit the ice with all of your favorite mascots! Sponsored by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, you’ll have opportunities to take pictures with the Candy Cane Elf and The Grinch!
90s Skate Night
Set your VCR to record all of your 90s faves, and join us on Tuesday December 13 at 6:30 and 8:30pm for 90s Skate Night, sponsored by Wiz Kids. 90s attire encouraged! There will be tons of 90s throwback tunes, trivia, chances to win 90s themed prizes, and other upcoming ArtsQuest shows.

Phantoms Night
On Wednesday December 14 at 6:30 and 8:30pm, partnered with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, come support the Lehigh Valley’s favorite hockey team! We’ll have discounted admission to the games, and anyone wearing Phantoms gear will receive $2 off their admission at the box office. meLVin will be there and all skaters will get some Phantoms swag!
Latin Night
On Thursday December 15 at 6:30 and 8:30pm, we’re partnering with La Mega to present a Latin Night! Salsa to your favorite Latin tunes with us.
Frozen Skate
Let it goooo, let it go, with our Frozen Skate on Sunday December 18 at 10:30am and 12:30pm. Straighten your tiara and come on out for Frozen Skate! Skaters will be joined by Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff on the ice! Photo opportunities will be available with all of these characters. This evening is sponsored by Members 1st FCU and Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Taylor Swift Night
“Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play. And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate. Baby, I’m just gonna skate, skate, skate, skate, skate….” – Taylor Swift. Once, maybe.
Hey, Lovers! Do you have a Reputation as the best skater you know? Well all the Folklore is true: we’ll be hosting Taylor Swift Night on the ice. Be sure to join us with your scarf on Tuesday December 20 at 6:30 and 8:30pm.
Be Fearless as you jam out to all your favorite T Swift tunes, while skating and having a blast with fellow Swifties. It’ll be the most fun you’ve had since 1989 and for-Evermore… But rest assured you can still make it home before Midnight(s).
80s Skate Night
On Wednesday December 21 at 6:30 and 8:30pm, throw it back to the 1980s with us! It’ll feel like the Skateaway days of yore on the ice for 80s Night as we bust out all the classic tunes! Come dressed in some rockin’ 80s gear or answer a trivia question from the era of big hair and bigger shoulder pads and you could get tickets to a variety of ArtsQuest events!
Y2K Pop Night
Sadly, all good things must come to an end, as Y2K Pop Night on Thursday December 22 at 6:30 and 8:30pm will be our last Theme Night. A night of skating to your favorite Y2K hits! From Britney, to Gwen, to S Club 7, to the Internet dialup tone, we’ll make sure you feel true nostalgia! Show up in your favorite Y2K ensemble and you could win tickets to a variety of ArtsQuest programming.

Family Nights
