All Food Truck Border Brawl tickets include a free entry gift of a Border Brawl “Party Plate,” a travel plate set which holds hot or cold food and a stemmed wine glass or 12 oz. can. The gift also includes utensils in a convenient carabiner keychain carrying case.
Join ArtsQuest for a food fight fiesta as the popular Food Truck Border Brawl returns to SteelStacks June 10 with 16 mobile eateries from New Jersey and Pennsylvania, plus a “Battle of the Bands” with music by Bruce Springsteen cover band The Bruce Show and Philly-based funk band The Groove Merchants.
During the Border Brawl, both attendees and the event judging panel sample the participating trucks’ offerings and then vote for their favorites, with the “People’s Choice” and “Best Overall Food Truck” awards presented at the conclusion of the event. Returning to defend their Border Brawl crowns are 2017 “Best Overall Food truck” winner Phyllodelphia of Philadelphia which wowed the judges and the crowds with its Lollipop Lamb Chops; and The Empanada Guy of Old Bridge, N.J., which is the undefeated “People’s Choice” winner of 2016 and 2017.
With general admission hours from 1-8 p.m. and ticket re-entry, Border Brawl attendees can make this foodie frenzy an all-day affair and finish off the evening with dessert nachos from Polka Dot Cake Shop of Lyndhurst, N.J. or Cookies and Cream Crème Brûlée from Philly-based food truck Crème Brolee. Activities at SteelStacks that day also include a free performance by folk-duo David Wax Museum at the Levitt Pavilion, 7:30p.m.
All proceeds from Border Brawl ticket sales will go to support the nonprofit ArtsQuest’s free music, arts and education programming for the region.
